Students have many hands-on opportunities to develop those technical skills in classes, labs and internship experiences. Southeast Technical College’s Career Services Center assists students to ensure a smooth transition from student to employee. Whether you are seeking a part-time job while enrolled in school, or full-time career after graduation, we can help.

Southeast Tech Career Connections provides current students and graduates with all the tools needed for a successful job search. Use Career Connections to view detailed and up-to-date information on jobs, learn how to apply for them, view upcoming career fairs, post and manage your resume, connect through your LinkedIn account and access additional services.

Résumé & Cover Letter Development and Review 

Résumé-writing has changed over the years.  Career Services will go over the do’s and don’ts of today’s résumé formatting and style for your program of study, profession or job that you are seeking. 

Cover letters are your personal marketing tool to catch the attention of a possible employer. Get some advice on how to write yours to highlight your best qualities and rise to the top of the pile of applicants.

Practice Interviews 

Sitting across the table from a stranger while selling yourself as their next best employee can be intimidating. Career Services at Southeast Tech will help you put your best foot forward at that interview! Our career services coordinator and all our student success advisors are available to help you prepare for the questions and answers you should be ready for when interviewing for a job. It isn’t all about the words you use, but also the way you enter the room, sit in your chair, dress and shake hands!  Career Services will go over all these details and help you prepare the answers that will lead to a second interview or a job offer.
